I think you MUST have a grandma from Puglia (Apulia). Great dishes from there, swear!
I have been cooking since I was 9 years old – My grandparents originated from Naples, Italy and had a wonderful restaurant in lower Manhattan for a number of years. Learning from my mother and her family of 7 brothers and sisters, I have taken their way of Italian cooking and specialized them and created my own. My life is cooking for my family and friends – there is nothing more relaxing than being in the kitchen. I lost my husband, of 32 years, several months ago, and he was my best critic! How I miss him!

I would love to cook for you too but I will never be the great cook my father was. He was born in Gordo an a valle.
I would love to have Nonna Gambino’s eggplant recipe she mentioned on NPR. Please send it. te affetto, Rita
I absolutely LOVE this concept. Being a “Nonna” this hit home, as I was born, raised and lived in Queens, New York..Mom is Neopolitan, Dad Calabrian..Even tho I live in Berkeley, had to let you know what a great idea this is…there’s NO good tasty, delicious REAL Italian food out west here….of course except for MINE. Have owned my catering business for 25 years, just gifted it to son..going strong.
Amore,
Nonna Rosa
OH, my tomato sauce, pure fresh tomatoes from garden. Olive oil, tons of chopped garlic, salt saute then add tomatoes and cook, simmer for a long time..delicious.everybody out here in California wants me to jar the stuff, it’s simple and delicious.

Hi,
I also love to cook one day I will love to share my receipes with you. I have been married for 42 years and you will never see me in a bakery during the holidays. I bake all my own cookies at xmas time. Rosemary
Hi rosemary …I am always looking for new talent… Come and see me… Joe
100% Calabrese and would like to host a dinner at your restaurant. Pizzaiola with Calabrese olives would be my specialty made either with beef and or fish, oblong meatballs with surprise inside in a Raghu’ sauce served with fresh pasta, baccala’ with potatoes and Calabrese olive in a pink sauce, Zuppa di pesce.
Thank you,
Rosemarie
Hi Rosemarie…we are always looking for new talent…. give us a call…joe
Hi Joe,
what a beautiful concept!
I’m excited with this, I can’t wait to go back to New York and visit your restaurant and compare it to my nonna’s cooking.
I live in Moneglia (between Cinque Terre and Portofino…pesto, focaccia & ravioli birthplace)and also organize cooking vacation in our 2 hotels-Italian recipes (with our regional variety) are always very much appreciated.
I wish you the best to your business!
Thank you Francesca ,…. This is my dream come true…
